Yoku's Island Express

The PC versions from Epic, GOG and Steam, each in its current version. Console versions are not supported.

Run the Windows version through Proton and tell it to load the mod’s xinput9_1_0.dll instead of its own. On Steam, put this into the game’s launch options: WINEDLLOVERRIDES=”xinput9_1_0=n,b” %command%. In Heroic or Lutris, add the environment variable WINEDLLOVERRIDES with the value xinput9_1_0=n,b. Without it the game starts normally, but the mod is not loaded.

Export the seed to your game folder and launch the game. Pick an empty save slot and choose ‘Start Randovania Seed’. The entry shows the seed’s hash, so you can check that it is the right one.

Beat the final boss. If the preset requires beacons, Nim only starts the ceremony that leads to the final boss once that many Wickerling beacons are lit. Each beacon takes 10 Wickerlings.

Open the pause menu and choose ‘Warp to Start’. After you confirm, the game saves and takes you back to where the seed started. ‘Warp to Village’ works the same way and takes you to the save point on the right side of the village, below Rinri, once you have reached it. Your items, fruit and collected locations are kept.

Delete xinput9_1_0.dll and the open-yoku-rando folder from the game folder. The game’s own files are not changed.
